Master Painters New Zealand Association Inc. is the only recognised trade organisation for the Painting and Decorating Industry in NZ. Founded in 1913 and now over 110 years old, we represent painting and decorating businesses across 13 regions. Our mission is to be the voice of the industry: promoting professional and ethical practice, ensuring trade standards through training and education, and connecting quality painters with customers who deserve peace of mind.

Master Painters New Zealand Association is founded as the independent voice for firms and individuals in the painting, decorating and sign writing trades.
- Today
Over 110 years on, the association represents members across 13 regions and remains the only recognised trade organisation for the painting and decorating trade in New Zealand.

Members are assessed before they join, sign a Code of Conduct, and back qualifying work with the Master Painters 5-Year Guarantee, supported by Dulux, Resene and Wattyl.
